Always review the simplified protocol before using it in the lab.

Use the Share button on the protocol page. You can create:

• Read-only link — others can view the protocol but cannot edit it
• Editable copy — others receive their own editable version

Only share protocols with people who are allowed to access that information.

Use the password reset option on the login page. If you don't receive the reset email, check your spam or junk folder — email systems enjoy hiding useful things like tiny bureaucrats.

SynQBench includes calculators for:

• Dilutions
• PCR
• DNA/RNA tools
• Cell culture
• Serial dilutions
• Stock preparation

Always verify calculator results before use, especially for critical experiments, expensive reagents, or anything involving precious samples that will emotionally destroy you if lost.

Bench is free and includes 5 protocol simplifications per billing period, unlimited calculator use, and space to save 3 protocols and 3 calculations.

Bench+ (£9.99/month or £95.90/year) raises that to 50 simplifications per period, unlimited saves, batch calculations, and print/export support.

Lab is built for larger teams and shared libraries — currently available by joining our waitlist.

On the date you subscribed, not the 1st of the month. If you subscribe on the 14th, your simplification count resets on the 14th of each following month (or each year, for annual plans).

No — your count resets to your plan's limit at the start of each new billing period rather than carrying over.

Nothing you've already created is affected — all your existing protocols stay fully usable. You just won't be able to run new simplifications until your next billing period starts, or you upgrade to Bench+.

Yes. Cancel whenever you like from your account billing settings — no need to email us. You'll keep full Bench+ access until the end of your current paid period, then your account moves to Bench automatically. You won't be charged again after cancelling.

No — we never delete your data. If you have more saved items than the free Bench plan allows, everything you've already saved stays visible and usable. You'll just need to be at or under the Bench limit (or upgrade again) before saving anything new.

We'll try again and email you to update your payment method. You'll keep Bench+ access for 3 days while this gets sorted — if payment still hasn't gone through after that, your account moves to Bench.

Yes, anytime from your billing settings.

No — SynQBench isn't currently VAT registered, so prices shown are the final amount you'll pay.

Both are available in your account's billing settings, alongside your current plan and next renewal date.

Yes. Absolutely.

SynQBench helps organise and simplify protocols, but it does not replace scientific judgement, official SOPs, risk assessments, institutional guidance, or common sense — the rarest reagent in any lab.

Before using a simplified protocol, always verify:

• Volumes
• Concentrations
• Incubation times
• Temperatures
• Centrifuge speeds
• Equipment settings
• Safety steps
• Waste disposal
• Reagent expiry dates
• Institutional SOP requirements

Yes. SynQBench may miss, misread, or simplify details incorrectly, especially if the original protocol is unclear, incomplete, badly formatted, or written like it was assembled during a fire drill.

Always compare the simplified version against the original protocol before using it.

SynQBench is still being improved. During beta, you may notice:

• Some protocols simplify better than others
• Formatting may need manual cleanup
• Some timers or tips may not be detected correctly
• Calculator results should still be independently checked
• Features may change based on user feedback

This is exactly why beta testing exists — launching perfect software is a myth told by people who have never opened DevTools.
